Did you know that loose parts play is a great resource to facilitate learning? When children play with loose parts, they are strengthening their sense of self and independence. Loose parts play is often child led and requires the imagination, critical thinking skills, and often keeps children engaged for longer periods of time.

Check out the loose parts area one of our Educators has included into her programming! This Educator reported that the children were very excited about this invitation to play and could not wait to get started. It is so fun to watch all the different ways children use these items. They could be anything from a steering wheel, to a slice of bread.
