Here’s the light box we are working on at the office to try it out. So far we have the clear tote (from Walmart, $12) lined with tin foil to keep the light in, and a push light (from Walmart, $10. This one is LED so its pretty bright, but cheaper ones are available at the Dollar Stores). The next step will be to line the lid with tissue paper to allow the light to shine through.
One of our Medicine Hat providers made this with her day home children. She says to mix salt, flour and food colouring, then paint on a firm piece of cardboard and microwave for 30 seconds to see it grow!
