Providers, please read the following reminder regarding Standard 8.
Standard 8: Child Supervision: Children must receive developmentally appropriate supervision (as detailed below) by the provider at all times.
Children under 20 months: must be within the provider’s eyesight at all times. When children are napping, a functional baby monitor must be in use.
Children 20 months to 4 years: cannot play outside without direct supervision. Must be within hearing distance at all times. The provider must physically check on the children every 3-5 minutes; including nap-time, unless a monitor is in use.
Children 5-8 years: can use the outdoor play space within the sight of the provider (ie: through a window). Provider must physically check every 5-10 minutes.
